- The Board of Directors met Sunday, 14-Oct-01 to discuss the upcoming elections
of new officers and the schedule for the next General Meeting, and it looks
like we'll be holding it sometime in January ('02), probably at a church
facility in Simi Valley.
- Beginning 20-Nov-01, we will go back to the way we were calling the 2m
repeater net prior to 16-Oct-01. We will continue calling the reverse alphabetical
order on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays to alleviate the "last but not least"
problem some of us face at the end of the roster.
- The Board has announced a contest (open to any one) to design a card,
badge, banner and/or pennant for the Los Padres Chapter of MARA.
The prize to the winner(s) will be a free year's MARA
membership worth $5.00! We'd like the drawings submitted by 16-Nov-01. Mail
to: 18716 Kimbrough St., Santa Clarita, CA 91351.
- We still need operators to help as alternate Net Control Stations (NCS's).
